MorfoMetose#1 revisits the art collection of Cooperativa Àrvore in order to explore relationships between image and sound in a performance that combines videoprojections and music, featuring electronic and acoustic instruments. A broad set of works from painters associated with this historical institution serves as a departing point for transformations that happens at the image level to which a correspondance in musical/sound terms is established, either algorithmically or by the performers. It also explores the reverse of the process, the generation of images from sound inputs, according to certain grammars that unify teh entire performance, aiming to establish a continuum sound-image, image-painting digital-image, electronic music-instrumental music.
